Does anyone if there will be an offical line up for the little clubs and tiny hidden stages in arcadia/shangri la this year or will it be about being in the right place at the right time again? x

This is something that bugs me, I can be a bit of a control freak, it was hard to know what is going on and where down there.  I dont mind some randomness and surprises.

I have noticed, that most of the line-ups for those areas are up on the official site, for 2009, I am not sure that they were there before the festival started last year though.

I agree.  I have a funny feeling that Gorillaz may play one of those late night small venues and I would hate to miss out.  My idea is not pure speculation but based on the fact that Damon last year played a secret gig at Club Dada and also that 3 of his collaborators (Snoop, Mos Def, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble) on his latest album Plastic Beach, are playing the festival on the Friday.

If it does happen and I miss out I will be mighty pissed off

The problem is that if they announced it before hand then the entire of shangri-la would get rammed and come to a stand still. Its not a huge place, and if people found out that Gorillaz were playing it would be chaos.

But yeah it can be pretty irritating if you miss a really good band just because you weren't in the right place at the right time.

I'm sure the times were released before the festival and that they appeared on Halvin's Clashfinder as well.

Saw Lady Gaga @ Club Dada last year - which was ace as there were only a couple of hundred people in the tent (and she set her tits on fire!!!).

It's worth checking out the occasional "Special Guest"  :P

Arcadia, Rubbish Doll House and Club Da Da were the only ones on the Clashfinder last year.

I dont think anybody is demanding all special guests to be announced that may cause health and safety issues, just a line-up, maybe with the odd blank like the rest of the festival.

It could be quite fun if they had little clues around the site as to what certain special guests were.

Like a kind of treasure hunt, that would be cool.
