What about getting one of these instead?  I bought my hubby one just for festivals, so you can charge on the go.

Freeloader Solar Charger
I bought one of them for Glasto 07, it failed on the way down in the car :-(    His holding up?

Hey Douzeper

Yes we used it for Glastonbury and WOMAD last year no probs.  We did however find that if you leave the adapter in the solar charger whilst you are charging it, it won't charge up, so need to take the adapter out.  Not sure if that helps you in any way.

Maybe I'm being daft here.

The one on Amazon is sim-free, but isn't the one on Prepaymania that the OP links to locked to T-Mobile?

This seems to be the sim-free version:

Great deal, but wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy plenty of spare batteries from eBay for your main phone?

no way man, not taking my iphone with me! not worth risking losing it/damage/someone stealing it :P

This is now out of stock but would've been ideal!!

Seems to be back in stock, but I'm a bit confused where the £14.99 in the OP came from. Maybe the deal has changed.

The phone is currently £7.99, so £15.98 for two, plus the £10 top up. So £25.98. The code is for a £5 discount. Two phones, £10 of top up = £20.98.

Still very good, but not quite as attractive as the deal the OP got.

I agree with the O2 being rubbish at Glasto.

I was waking up in the morning with loads of missed calls and texts from the day or 2 before!!

If you are phone person - be warned about O2

seems as though it went out of stock but is now back in and they have put the price up,still not bad for two phones that are £20 each with no credit on amazon!

The problem with thr £4.99 Nokia from Argos is they add £10 of credit on automatically and I don't want or need that.

O2 was shite last year so I'm taking my work SIM which is Orange, but don't fancy losing my work phone so could do with a cheapy one..

i.e. the phone is actually £15 - but you can sell the £10 SIM.

Or you could go to the greenfields and pay £3.50 for them to charge your phone with nice clean solar power.  Last year I recharged there on Saturday morning (had been onsite since tue) and I had no battery issues as a result.  This year the plan will be the same.

any idea if this phone would work abroad? going away for a few months and my htc battery is awful, and its a pretty expensive phone so dont fancy taking it. but would be gutted if I went away to find out it didn't work.
