Yep, racist, nationalist chanting is just what the festival needs.

You have a pretty low opinion of people attending Glastonbury. It is not the same as your average football crowd. I'm sure there would be a huge audience for the England games and I'm just as sure that it would be a very well behaved and happy bunch of people too.

As to whether it should be shown on the Pyramd or not ....... well, I'm keeping out of that one!

I am a massive footy fan and I hope that they show Saturday match, if it even happens on the Pyramid, not that I will be anywhere near it.

It will draw 70,000 odd people away from the rest of the site for about 2 hours, there will be loads of room everywhere else, no queues at the Brothers Bar, although the cider bus will be a tad busy.

Are you so naive as to think the entire glastonbury audience are saints?

There are tent robbings every single year, and a lot of other anti social acts as well. The ticket sales are open to everyone. Of course an unsavoury element will have bought tickets and will attend.

If England end up playing Germany (I absolutely pray they will be long out of the competition by then) then do you honestly think there will be none of that ridiculous chanting about the World Wars?

Football turns usually decent folk into complete foaming at the mouths bell ends.

People are happy to risk the reputation and licence of the festival just to show a game of football. It is absolutely staggering.

Idiots.

Oh yes thats right, acts that make the news regarding football fans are the complete and universal norm. You've never been to a match have you?

I'm also fairly sure that a crowd at Glastonbury wouldn't muster too many songs, let alone a round of Ten German Bombers or something like that

No, but I'm also not naive enough to believe that the scum who rob tents etc. are anything but a very, very small percentage of Glastonbury attendees.

The vast majority of people who will watch the football (wherever it's shown) will be normal, happy festival goers.
Are you  naive enough to think that all who are watching will turn into 'complete foaming at the mouth bell ends'?

There were ten German bombers in the air, there were ten German bombers in the air, there were ten German bombers, ten German bombers, ten German bombers in the air.

Then the RAF from England shot one down, then the RAF from England shot one down, then the RAF from England, RAF from England, RAF from England shot one down.

There were nine German bombers in the air...

They should show The Germans episode of Fawlty Towers beforehand, just to get the atmopshere right.

Then wheel out Bert Trautmann in chains.

Yes I have been to a game actually. England v Turkey.

A large proportion of the crowd spent 90 minutes singing "I'd rather be a p*ki than a Turk"

The truth may be unpalatable for you, but sadly that is not one single word of a lie.

I'd rather not risk a repeat at Glastonbury, thanks all the same.
