I work for BBC Wales and I've just written this blog about the lack of Welsh bands at Glastonbury this year: http://######/9ohJJD
There are only three so far confirmed but Radio 1's Bethan Elfyn suggests a few we might be seeing next year. You can register to comment on the blog very easily and it would be good to know your thoughts on Welsh bands you'd like to see play.

There's no reason to not post the original URL .... unless the site is a regular spammer-attempter here, in which case it will be blocked.

Have you written a blog about the lack of Spanish, Italian and German groups and the over representation groups from the US, I think it's very important?

well, i'm writing from a Welsh perspective, seeing as I work for BBC Wales, but there may be other countries sniffing into their lacey kerchiefs. However, as i say in the blog, I don't see it's a problem for the Welsh indigenous music scene to be honest.

I can't think of anything that would endear us Welsh to the rest of the crowd more, than blocking their view with a load of big ol' flags.

I might start a thread about the lack of Scandinavian acts in comparison to previous years.

Welsh flags at festivals always used to annoy me. Along with those infernal pants on a stick.

None of these playing:
Manics
Stereophonics
Super Furries
Feeder
Cerys Matthews
Lost Prophets
Bullet for My Valentine
Ok, the last two are poor.
