I'm all for diversity, but Scissor Sisters before Muse!!! Not a good mix.

It also means there will be alot of traffic going one way or the other i.e. from Sisters to Pet Shop Boys, (and from Editors to Muse as well I should imagine).

They needed a decent sing-a-long band, like Kasabian (who wanted to play). Not a band beloved by the pink brigade  :P

And before I get slagged off, Kasabian are a brilliant festival band.

Line-ups not bad, not to bothered about Stevie Wonder and U2 though. Thank god Orbital only clashes with Stevie, as I missed them when they clashed with Muse a few years ago. Now I only hope my missus doesn't want to see Stevie!!!

1. nice homophobia. Classy
2. I'm not fan of scissor sisters but they will probably put on a better show than muse
3. kasabian have played for the last what, 3 years in a row?
4. kasabian are shite
5. you are an idiot

Kasabian were soulless and disappointing last year (for me), but I agree they would be more suited as a prequel to Muse.

I expect alot of people to have alot of fun watching scissor sisters, who have a great reputation for a fun, energy filled performance.

I will not be one of them, I find them scary like clowns.

Ha ha. Here the slagging starts.

I was only being tongue in cheek so forgive me. I'm actually the least homophobic person I know, and have many gay friends and relatives.

I know that Scissor Sisters have some good tunes, and my missus would probably want to watch them. But apart from the traffic issue, they have been off the radar for a while now, so I'm surprised they are so high up the bill.......

I'm not wild about the SS playing where they, I know they've sold a lot of records but it's basically the 4th highest slot at the festival in some ways (perhaps not this year) and I did have higher hopes for it.
The OP has a point about Editors-Muse SS-PSB.

But other than that to the original poster - what the hell are you talking about? Firstly you use Kasabian as your example for who should play there? Secondly some nice and classy homophobia there.

There are a few people on here who every time someone complains about anything come out with the same boring line about getting a ticket refund and the worst of all 'Glastonbury is obviously not for you' but you need to take a look at yourself with comments like that.

Remember this is the slot most likely to clash with the England game. I wouldn't say scissor sisters are 2nd headliner material - even when they were actually releasing songs they were only on around lunchtime. But if a smaller than normal crowd is expected due to the football, perhaps this is a reason for elevating them into this slot?

I hope Skunk Anansie fill the slot either just before Scissor Sisters or preferably in between Scissor Sisters and Muse. It seems to fit. Some sort of segue is needed I agree.

Would it be fair to say ita a booking that women are more likely to enjoy.  While us men can get smashed on cheap larger and hurl abuse at people kicking a piece of leather on tv.

No idea, depends how big the expected crowd is. I would imagine it would be dangerous to have it anywhere but the pyramid though. Hopefully thats what the TBA are on the saterday and sunday with the two acts being booked to play either day with England on the other day.

You absolute whoppers

Will there be darkies there?

Ok, now you have your set.

Please note, this was massive, massive, massive attempt at humour.  I am not a racist (but the scissor sisters DO scare me!)
