The campsite next door were smashed off their faces on drugs and had a repeating beat, no change to it from about 2am to 8am.  They were also talking absolute rubbish as you can imagine.

I have never wanted to murder someone so much in all my life.

Except maybe that guy who kept sayign "Michael Jackson tickets to buy or sell" over and over again for about an hour.

Having music at the campsite means that the dawdlers in my grouphave an excuse to spend longer than usual arsing around when I want to go for a wander.

So we don't have music!

Awesome playlist OneLittleFish!

For me campsite music should consist of cheesy classic rock anthems (since you've been gone etc..)  90s dance music such as Eiffel 65 and just general massive tunes that you can sing at 4AM in the morning.

Usually whack on some techno when we get back in the early hours, only other time we're at the tent is when we get up in the morning then it'll be breaks/nufunk or some good old fashioned rock and metal.

I really wanna track down an old boombox and take some tapes of some real East-Coast shit. Nas, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep..... all early 90's stuff obviously, none of that modern crap. Perfect for sitting in the sun having a blaze to.

ooooo yesterday I heard No Diggity by Blackstreet for the first time in years!!!

Brilliant!  Glad to see someone else still uses tapes, CD compilation making is such a dull and soul-less process.  Tape C looks good to me!

never had anyone complain and there's plenty of quiet campsites about if that's what you're after.

Got a bit too smashed a bit too early when paying a visit to (cough!) V fest and when all my friends had gone to bed to "save themselves" I sat up listening to Blood on the tracks as the sun came up, then followed it up by a load of CD's getting slightly livelier until everyone was awake again - I had a great time - Neighbours had a little whinge, but you can't please everyone!

All you need is a fire, some lager and some friends and you can have a good old sing-song. None of that fancy technology. You're at a music festival, it's hardly in short supply.

Then again I don't spend much time at the campsite so each to their own.

it still amazes me that people complain about noise at a  festival.

To be fair it is in quite short supply at 4am in the morning.

LOL at MP3 players being 'fancy technology', you sound like my Nan, bless :P

Yeah I suppose so, not that I've ever lasted that long at Glasto!

Back in my day we had Walkmans and CD's, none of this digital malarky :P
