Just a thread wondering if you take some tunes along for sitting around your tents in the campsite, pint in hand enjoying the SUN? What do you use equipment wise?

Posted this as I've just finished organising my Glasto mixtapes (too organised  :P )

Got a Sony Walkman cassette player off eBay for four quid (batteries last about four times longer in a cassette one compared to a CD one), one of the mini speakers recommended in another thread, and made up a selection of tunes from Yeasayer to Dreadzone.

Serious business, if you're living with the same festival mixtapes all summer you may as well do a good job of them  :P

You kids with your technology! We tend to just have an acoustic being passed around.

I got a small but suprisingly loud speaker that I bought in Aldi and a cheapo Argos MP3 player, four AAA batteries last about ten hours non-stop.

Not a bad plan, but you need a kazoo to round out the ensemble.

i've got a playlist made up, but it's mainly for the long journey down. will take to the campsite though, but i rarely actually play music. will just make do with chat, breakfast and maybe a wee spot radio.

I really wanna track down an old boombox and take some tapes of some real East-Coast shit. Nas, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep..... all early 90's stuff obviously, none of that modern crap. Perfect for sitting in the sun having a blaze to.

You see - I'd agree, but last year was in a foul mood on the Saturday (can't even mind why) and went back to my tent for a bit, listened to some decent, laid back tunes and had a read of the Q Daily in my tent, put me right back in the spirit again.
