Same thing nearly happened to me. I was buying for a friend who's on holiday in Dubai and left his cc details with me. Realised at midnight last night - fortunately he's 3 hours ahead and had his dc details waiting when I got up this am.

and credit card payments mean that gfl have to wait 4 weeks for the money to land in their bank account! sorry state of affairs i know, but it was always going to veer this way when melvin benn got his grimey little money-making hands on glastonbury, why else were the parking pass and such other profitable things introduced?

To be fair, you could have put a deposit down in October and spread the payment over almost 5 months...

The reason credit cards aren't used for UK orders is that the card issuers charges the vendor a fee. The choice then becomes whether to pass that on to the punter, or to take it out of the money raised for charity. You know very little about Gastonbury Festival if you think it's a money making excercise (or at least for the personal enrichment of ME). The aim of the parking pass is to try, to an extent, to disuade people from driving and take public transport.
Anyway, if you managed to get a ticket today, have a great festie

My mate didn't get one, but I don't know how hard he tried. I gave him a link to the ticket tips thread.

You had to pay for parking WAY before Benn's involvement. As Toliet Duck says it's more to do with encouraging public transport use and managing the number of fields they need to pay for (the festival is more extensive than the farm) to use as car parks. Anyway why would you think non-car users should subside use of the car parks - as would be the case if it was included in the ticket price?

Lightwieght! We didn't get in till 05:30 and I was still up at 09:00 to get a ticket for her indoors ... it was a bit of a hazy half hour though ... probably booked her a ticket for "Billy Elliot on Ice" or something. Still, 23:30 bed time! You'll need to get some trianing in if you want to be match fit.
Well done though ...
