IMO Aphex Twin are big enough to headline, don't know about Chase and Status though.

I'm a fan of most of the stuff Chase & Status have done but even I don't think they're anywhere near big enough to headline the Clash, third or fourth down for the clash tent i'd say is more in line with their size. Aphex Twin isn't my cup of tea but he's defo big enough to headline clash, Pendulum too.

Saying that, I'm happy enough

Aphex Twin is the f**kin daddy of electronica, hes been around for 20 odd years, his sets are second to none, and although the likes of Underworld, Orbital and Daft Punk are clearly huge in status and following, Aphex Twin has a massive cult following.

Do people reckon the Clash will be packed for AFX? I hope so but I have a feeling it won't be
It will be amazing with mental visuals

That has to be have been considered by the organisers. Having him on at the same time as Leftfield is a real gamble since I think he is probably now the next biggest headliner after Leftfield this year so I hope they are sensible and put him on at a time that finishes later than them.
He isn't everybodies cup of tea but there's no doubting that to get Aphex Twin to play Rockness is one of the biggest draws in it's history, he doesn't just play anywhere, he chose to play Rockness and it shouldn't go unnoticed. The ironic thing is that the people from a particular age group most keen on seeing Leftfield will want to see him too. I can't wait.

Really looking forward to it now, Leftfield followed by Aphex would be a dream come true, the crowd will really be up for it. Both acts are a major coupe. Well done Jim King.

Seeing 2 of the biggest names in electronic music one after the other, is something I won't forget.

right, being the n00b that i am, i had no idea who leftfield were till they were announced and no idea who aphex twin was till the other day
surely, seeing as these two acts will have similar if not identical crowds, it would be madness to have them on at the same time?
i genuinely wish i could understand the hype for both leftfield and aphex twin..just cant get into it atm

I reckon they were smart with Placebo and Prodigy last year, it will be a similar sort of thing this year. But what about Club 75? Reckon that's gonna be a 5-9 slot with Annie Mac headlining?

He's a massive act and a great booking, but as i'm sure you'll know his sets can be pretty weird...and i'm not sure how well he'll go down with the crowd.

Weirder the better, need to mix things up every now and again
Might just open a few peoples minds up to the fact that this guys been around a hell of a lot longer than the beetroots or the crookers etc, and will more than likely still be going after there all long gone off the scene.
He's done it all and I'd recommend everyone check him out, you might never get the chance again
