After a spell at the beginning of this millennium as Reading regulars ('00, '02 and '04), the band 'A' recently reformed and got touring again, plus Jason Perry the lead singer has been helping out Kids In Glass Houses with their new album, so with rumours of KIGH potentially playing the FR stage, I'm thinking maybe A will be around there or could even be special guests on NME/R1 stage, purely based on their experience and reputation at the festival in previous years.

'Nothing' was a huge track in the early noughties, I sure as hell would check them out again in a hurry just for that immense tune!

Thoughts?

Saw them supporting Reef in the mid-late nineties. One of the worst live bands I've seen.

They were good fun at Download in 2005. I'd like to see them again. But why would they be the special guests?

I don't see them being special guests but they were pretty good when I saw them in 2002, would definitely check them out again.

Their early stuff is poor, I'll admit, but dude they were only starting off then, so yeh possibly to be expected. Their recent stuff is much better and I saw them last December and they are a right hoot, not to mention their guitarist being an absolute machine
Their early stuff is 100x better than their shite new metal effort with Nothing and Starbucks on it.

Get on Fog Horn, Winter of 96, No1, Lake Tahoe

Their show in the tent in 98 is legendary for anyone who was there, people climbing the pillars and diving into the crowd and all sorts. They were all boarded up the following year

The special guests will be the same as every other year where a band plays twice in a day, normally on the lock up and the main stage, but I guess this time it could be Main Stage and NME Tent or NME tent and Lock Up.

I bet you its not. It'll be someone contractually tied to another festival, most likely Download.

A would be amazing. Saw them support Limp Bizkit on 2003 and the speakers went on fire.

A are amazing. Defo agree with a poster above - old stuff is where its at - 5 In The Morning, Down On The Floor, Monkey Kong, Foghorn, Tahoe are legendary tracks.

I didn't catch them last year unfortunately as was a bit skint, would love them to come back!
