You havent heard of Toots and the Maytals or Dr John?I haven't heard of any of them apart from Rod & Gab, and i like to think i'm pretty clued up when it comes to the old muzak.

TBH, i feel a bit fobbed off. They've obviously changed the name of the stage because they've got a lacklustre lineup for it this year. They didn't want to taint the "Jazz World" name. If they get a good lineup next year it'll be the "Jazz World" Stage again. Not good, IMO.
I don't want to be rude, but you think you're clued up on music but you've never heard of George Clinton??????

I really don't understand the excitement. It's probably a case of being so loyal to Glastonbury that you're happy with anything. But like i said, apart from Dammers, Toots and Rod & Gab, who in this line-up am i going to be remotely interested in seeing? Rod and Gab were already self-confirmed weeks ago! Plus now i know there'll be a nightmare clash between Rod & Gab and one of the Pyramid headliners (probably Stevie). So it's all bad news for me. I'm POd. The scale of the announcement was not worth the wait.

"Hello Toots/Dr John/Mr Clinton - as you're not very good and pretty much unknown, would you mind if we changed the name of the stage so we don't upset our demanding customers? Otherwise we can't book you."

Dammers, Toots and Rod/Gab - the only three acts i'd be interested in seeing in this line-up. Fact.

How can you be remotely interested in seeing anyone if you haven't heard of them?
Quite why you haven't heard of them is another point entirely.

Happy with anything? Some of the most innovative and enjoyable artists around at the moment - Devandra, Tune-Yards, Mariachi El Bronx, alongside some of the most important and outright brilliant performers of all time? Yes, we are easily pleased. For what this stage is there for, it's pretty much the perfect line up.
But then didn't you say last year that Neil Young wasn't worthy of headlining the Pyramid?

So excited about George Clinton and thankfully they only clash with 'we've become a shit Queen' Muse.
Looks like things are turning out ok, it's going to be a good year.
All in all an incredible West Holts stage line-up. - but I think I would rather it remained the Jazz World.

In the last 2 Glastos we've seen Cliff, Staton, Grant, Chao, Streets and Cullum at the Jazz World Stage as well as the Black Eyed peas (who aren't my cup of tea, admittedly). This year is definitely a gear down from what we've had recently IMO.
