Just seen a 2006 setlist at http://www.musicpix....d...cle&sid=345

From that list, try downloading these tracks:

Thanks!  Have just consulted my older/better half and he was quite disgusted that I had to ask  :P

I spose I should be a bit ashamed as his brother is a jazz funk DJ

If it's Faithless vs. Toots, I'm going to cry.  I bet it is.

But some really really cool stuff on there.  Doctor John!  Mos Def!  Brilliant!

I'm seeing Faithless in Wolverhampton in May so Toots will get my vote!!!  :P

Just seen you're from Wolverhampton and you're a Bees fan.  And you like spanking monkeys.  We'd probably get on rather well.

Wow.

Not was I was expecting, at all, but all the better for it. I'm never usually into the stuff on the Jaz...West Holts, but there are some great acts on there.

Psyched for Devendra, Tune-Yards, Mariachi El Bronx, RyG

There are also some absolute, cast iron, INDISPUTABLE legends of contemporary music playing.

Absolutely cracking.  Dr John, Toots & The Maytals, Funkadelic.  Just great.

Downsides?  Looks like Staff Benda Bilili will clash with Ray Davies.

I've also heard some uncomplimentary things about the reformed Os Mutantes.  Can anyone confirm?

I'm made up that Mariachi El Bronx will be playing, should be brilliant. Almost certainly means they'll be playing a set somewhere as The Bronx as well  :P  :P

Plus Tunng, Toots, George Clinton and Jerry Dammers that i'll definitely want to catch. What a fantatsic line-up. All hail the West Holts stage!  :P

Is it just me that thinks "West Holts" is a bit of a dull name for a stage with such vibrant music on it?

I haven't heard of any of them apart from Rod & Gab, and i like to think i'm pretty clued up when it comes to the old muzak.

TBH, i feel a bit fobbed off. They've obviously changed the name of the stage because they've got a lacklustre lineup for it this year. They didn't want to taint the "Jazz World" name. If they get a good lineup next year it'll be the "Jazz World" Stage again. Not good, IMO.
