Exactly.
He reminds me of my friend who is a fan of said terrible band, and I showed him Funkadellic and Parliament and he said "Your going to see a bunch of guys with afros and skirts over the best live band in the world? Are you mad??" All I could do is laugh. This same guy that I'm talking about told me after showing him a youtube clip of their performance of No Cars Go at Glasto that he thought Arcade Fire were "A bunch of Gippos"
Some people eh?

BlackHole2006, on Apr 8 2010, 12:04 AM, said:Not wrong differentThen again it's only 1 stage line up announce so far. and that opinion is wrong anyway.
(but very wrong atm)
I can see what people are saying, but come on did you expect more of BEP again on the jazzworld (To those complaining obviously). I never expected anything from this stage at all, infact the vast majority of it passes me by but theres 2 headline acts worth seeing (Mos Def and Rodrigo Y Gabriela) (though I probably won't see either and a sub headliner(Jerry Dammers Spacial AKA Orchestra ) there! and people who like these genres of music have given it the thumbs up, so how can you complain

But other years on Jazz World or West Holts line ups there has been an electic bill of Jazz/World acts. You just have to look at 2008 to see that. It's much more obscure than the other stages at Glasto.

Think I've just had my first Glastonbury moment today. After seeing the line-up I listened to a few acts on it and finished up with the Phenomenal Handclap Band and Breakestra albums on my MP3 player. Wandered to Tesco to buy some soup and orange juice for my slight cold and found myself strutting, almost dancing round the aisles to Breakestra!!!
Cracking line-up IMO. 5 or 6 I want to see. If just the SR's and TBC's are true my entire festival is almost full. It's all getting emotional here-this time in 11 weeks!

I can't say that I'm over the over the moon about the acts announced so far but I am definately not going to dismiss it as a bad line up. There is so much still to be announced, I'm loving the build up to it, it can get frustrating getting little drips of info at a time but I'm happy being patient for now.
