Seetickets Nightmare !

I cannot believe whats happened!!
Bought my ticket in October and paid for it. Got an email this morning reminding me about the resale in 2 weeks time which I thought was odd. Went on to the Seetickets tracker and entered the order number only to find my order had been cancelled. Phoned them up and discovered that they were unable to take the money so they cancelled it.
I did not receive any notification of this, although the guy tells me one would have been sent. Now I've got to wait until Monday before a customer services representative phones back and tells me what will happen. At the moment it looks like I have no ticket!
I strongly advise anyone who received the resale reminder email and who thinks they've bought a ticket to check through the tracker system.
I'm currently in a state of shock!!

Oh my god! Don't know what to say! Just stay positive, by the sounds of it there isn't a great deal you can do before they call. But you could check your bank to check if the money went out???
Poor thing ... I feel your pain ...

Oh no!
Doesn't sound good...have you checked your bank balance?

This made me check my tickets, fortunately all is ok for me
If the money hasn't gone out your bank then they must surely give you a ticket,
See can't get anything right

I've just checked my bank statement for October and no they didn't take the money out. I cannot understand why. There was plenty of money in there. Perhaps its my fault for not checking at the time but when you get an email that confirms you've booked a ticket then you don't suspect anything has gone wrong.

Awful. You've just made me check mine. Think most folk reading this should do the same, just to make sure. Its a royal pain in the arse, but better to get it sorted before the re-sale!!!

I check mine - literally - every other day just to make sure it is still there
. If Im honest - and optimistic - I have always found See pretty good at sorting things out like this. Good luck.

Thanks for this - looks like I'm up for a bit of a fight. I will certainly record my conversations with Seetickets myself

I would definitely contact the festival office, and point out that See did NOT send you any reminders, and that you are not the only person this has happened to.

Last year I forgot to pay the balance because I had changed my broadband provider and could no longer receive emails to the address that they were sending the reminders to. See sorted it. Am sure you will be fine. I would suggest being friendly and polite may be a better policy than telling them you are recording the phone call!

That's awful Crispy Red!
I too got the resale e.mail & was a little concerned but everything was ok when I checked.
Fingers crossed you get it all sorted out.

I've got my fingers crossed for you. I also checked immediately after receiving the reminder, all seems ok. I would also say that if they don't manage to sort it out for you then there's always a chance in the resale. I think that there are more tickets in the resale than people expect. They seem to be making a big deal of this resale and they needed to extend the date for paying the balance by a few days. I'm probably wrong but that says to me that alot of people didn't pay the balance. Good luck!!

If he wants to record it as proof of what was said to pass on to GFL or SeeTickets then if he does then involve a 3rd party without their consent then it is illegal under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000

I think that everyone got the reminder about the re-sale, or at least I think they did
