Hahah, laughin at "Orange Funfair is NOT fun"

Cant have been as bad as some guy I knew who camped bottom right of orange hill, near the funfair, and constantly being hit by people rolling/sledging down the hill

This, it's actually all a nightmare. Orange is like hell. We originaly pitched at the bottom of the smaller hill by the path, and after half an hour we moved, the funfair really pissed us off because it played 10 seconds of I Feel Good every 20 minutes, then nothing else from that song. Just when we got into a song it would cut off. Then Sunday it seemed to be KoL day, or at least, songs from KoL's new album day. The screams from the rides were some entertainment though. Just avoid it if you can, your lucky if the music cuts out at 4, think it may have been 5 last year.

If you get they're early enough on the Thursday you should get a decent camping spot although you may well have to walk a bi to get to it.

That's an odd way of getting a camping spot. Are they like indebted to you for this? What lead you you have to use? So many questions...

I was going to add,

"if she can read, she can bleed"

But I thought it might be inappropriate.

(I also don't condone, or live by this mantra) well not anymore lol...

Ok guys im a festival virgin !

Just got a few things to ask and hopefully you guys can answer  :P

1. How packed is it if me and my mates arrive for Leeds to camp on thursday?
2. Do they search your bags for things, also are they bothered about under 18's bringing in booze. (just that my friend is 16 and if he can't bring it in i will just load my bag out with it).

3. Is there usually a date for 2nd announcement (like how first is generally end of march) or is it just random?

4. Do they have sniffer dogs for drugs?

Edit - Btw is it a good place to get laid?

1 - Don't know about Leeds, but Reading's pretty full by 9am Thursday. Arrive early to get a good spot. You don't want to be too close to the entrance as that can attract thieves and you don't want to be too close to the toilets as that will be very smelly come sunday
2 - Yes, they will confiscate any glass they find so bring spirits in plastic bottles
3 - No set date, but will probably be about a month
4 - sometimes, but it's rare
5 - if you're not knee deep in clunge anywhere else don't expect Leeds to be any different.

1 - We were late last year and got to Leeds about 11 in the morning. And the place was packed, busy getting in, busy getting around and just crazy. I really would advise you getting an early bird, but if you're all getting your results guess you can't really do anything. But try and get there as early as possible after you've got you're results.

2 - I had a bag dedicated to beer etc last year and they gave it a good looking over, didn't bother with all the beer, just more concerned that my bag had a sharp corner. So had no problem with it. May not be the case this year but last year they didn't seem to bother with age limits as long as you didn't look like 13.
