Have my tickets to Glasto but am so jealous of the Arcade Fire headliner and Guns N Roses at Leeds/Reading......
I know the festival overall pisses all over any other but I really hope there's some more exciting people playing than whats on the rumours page here.
Come on eavisai, pull it out of the bag!

Really?
Arcade Fire would be good, although I personally don't see them as being big enough to be a Reading or Glasto headliner just yet. Fairly certain Guns N Roses will be a brutal and bloody car crash of a gig, if they turn up. As for Blink 182!?  :P

Apart from 3 superior headliners, I'm sure there's a lot more to come from Glasto.

GNR, realy? you'll be lucky if they turn up. Arcade Fire might be tied to an exclusive with Reading/Leeds. Wouldn't bet on it thou.

Was that sarcasm? NOFX ok, but the Libs? Again they might not even turn up!

I'd like to see LCD Soundsystem and We Are Scientists again, but chances are they'll be at Glasto anyhow.

The headliners don't do much for me.  Arcade Fire would be good, but Reading isn't their type of festival.  Don't think most the crowd will know anything past Wake Up and Keep The Car Running, they don't have enough hits to be firmly planted in the mainstream consciousness. I hope I'm underestimating the Reading crowd though.

Personally I think the Leeds line up is a bit rubbish , but hey the kids seem to like it.

But myself and mate are already getting excited about the clubbing !

Indie Disco until 6.00 am - 4 nights running , one of the highlights of the summer !

Apart from Arcade Fire the R/L line up is piss poor just nothing enviable about it, all the acts are relatively common. I'd have been a little pissed if the Soundgarden rumour was true but it's yet to come to fruition, still wouldn't be enough to entice me though.

Saw Arcade Fire a few years ago at Glasto.  They weren't bad but The Who came on after them and just blew them out of sight and you realised AF weren't really quite ready to be a true headline band.

I am working Reading cos there's a few bands, including Arcade Fire, whom I really want to see, but  wouldn't like to go as a punter, which is the opposite to Glasto cos I would hate to work glasto!

I like it, many bands I would see, but then its dosn't really have anyone legendary or older (Guns N Roses probably the oldest band there?). Most of the lower down acts will probs be at glasto plus you get great acts like Ray Davis and stevie wonder and from what people say everything else.

Saying that if I had the many to go to both I would :P Blink could be alot of fun, even though I would more likely go see Klaxons.

Would AF want to play G again? Didn't they get pissed off because of the way they thought they were treated backstage? At least that's the rumour I heard.

G 'n' R are certainly car crash material. Isn't it only Axel 'I really love the pet shop boys' Rose from the original band?
That last album was rubbish. In fact that's reminded me to delete it from my hard-drive.

Once again I just love how many cool people there are pretending that The Libertines playing Reading isn't a big deal.  Hilarious.  I'm not saying you have to like them (but I'll bet most of you do) but to make out only Arcade Fire would be good on Glasto bill is basically bollocks.  Weezer, Cypress Hill, Libs (obv) AF (obv!), Dizzee, The Cribs, Modest Mouse, The Gaslight Anthem, Frank Turner, Foals, Delphic, Mumford & Sons and LCD Soundsystem would all be welcome additions to the Glastonbury line-up and some of them will be on it.  Reading has actually got a good line-up this year.  First for a while in my opinion.  Which is why I'm going even though I swore I wasn't going to.  But I'm not camping (I only live just at the top of the hill that overlooks it) because it's a crap festival with crap people.  But I would go mental being able to hear the bass from the libertines in my back garden and not be there.

Just because the line up for Reading is good for a change doesn't mean it could compare with even an average Glastonbury.  But that doesn't mean you have to pretend not to notice tthe significant and decent booking they've done.

:P

I'd understand if they were headlining, but reforming for a support slot isn't a massive deal, it's not exactly their night.  It's good for their fans, but I don't see it as a revelatory moment to be honest.
