Completly the opposite. It was incredibly obvious that they are not playing from what they said, but would like to in the future.
They won't be playing.

I'm not sure, I was watching it online, and tbh he seemed to be careful about not announcing it because he knew he wasn't 'allowed'

did you not here what he said?
"we'd kill to play R/L and Glastonbury"
Doesn't seem like a hint that there playing, more like a hint there not?

well it's not as if he's going to come out and say
"well yeah we're playing leeds/reading" considering the announcement is tonight

I suppose its just the way people pick up on it differently.

Honestly I think it's a case of everyone is clock watching, and dying for something to be announced so any little comment from anyone can be taken out of context. (Weve all done it, I may well have with the Sonic Boom 6 thing the other week).
I would put money that they are not playing. The way he said it just sounded like "yeah were playing these festivals, but we love the whole UK festival circuit and would love to play these ones in the future".

I'm gonna have to go the other way. It seemed to me that nothing was set in concrete. I doubt a band would care that much about announcing themselves early, especially on a live radio show which would be getting a lot of publicity. To me, it was like they were at best in talks with organisers and had nothing set in stone for this year. I watched it live by the way.

We will find out tonight.
If there not on the bill they won't be playing because there gonna be in the top 6 or headlining radio1 NME. But I'd imagine them to have a special guest placing because of the download second stage headline.
