KIGH have a new album out so i'd guess they're playing, though not subbing to AF surely
pretty sure other bands must get told what bands are playing around them though so it makes sense that he'd know (though i doubt he's supposed to be teling people)

EMINEM Can just jump off ship right now, Its just plain crap, yes its an ALT festival but there is no room for him when the majority is ROCK.
Ah these forums are full of positives and negatives lol, cannot wait for monday now!

As the long as the surprise headliners aren't Kings Of Leon I will be happy.

what a dumbarse thing to say
ever heard of 'diversity'?
i myself would absolutely love Eminem, and i'm sure he would pull a massive massive crowd

Yeah, I'm starting to think Eminem is more likely than Blur actually. Definitely goes along with RobDaBanks statement and with Neil Pengelly's tweet that we have the 3 best headliners this year. Blur have come from nowhere really with very little source. Libertines into Eminem would certainly be a bit strange though.
I'm aware I'm rambling now, but Blink, Guns and Roses and Eminem/Blur with Arcade Fire on NME is a huge line up. Certainly much better than the Blink, Arcade Fire, MCR line up that was rumoured not long ago.
Blink and Eminem are pretty much the two acts I would like to see most right now. 2 headliners I love would be awesome considering I have only watched one headliner out of the past two years.

(note: based around that 'if').
I thought we already went through this when the rumour got started the second time round.
In that thread you said more or less the same thing, wild speculation about live nations wireless and eminem linked to R/L and then later you had more info saying he wasn't playing?
Is it safe to say that if arcade fire in the tent eminem will be the most likely main stage headliner?
Is it right the Blur rumour started from a comment by a radio 1 dj?

This news seems to coincide nicely with the mention from Blur about doing festivals this year, with very few lineups left to be announced, right?

I'd say this is the best part.
It's like Christmas Eve trying to guess what presents you might get, hoping you'll get a Sega Mega Drive, when really you know your just going to get another plain bike.
Much like Leeds Fest, we're all hoping for some amazing 3rd Headliner, but in reality on Monday night, we will all feel like we do at about 9 O'clock on Christmas day, a little let down...

that seemed to come out of the blue though - i'd be very very very surprised if it was them

well, having checked things out yet again, everything is strongly pointing to main stage and not the tent for AF.

I second this, last year they said they were 'sick of Kings of Leon too' and would be gone for a long time. Now they're back at Hyde Park and headlining V which is hardly fulfilling the promise. I like Kings of Leon but I've seen them 4 times and their ubiquity is starting to make them less appealing.
edit: just remembered if they're headling V they obviously won't headline Reading. Doh!
