Just listened to a few of their songs on itunes. They seem ok, but it's not really my kind of music. Don't recognise any of their songs (and I did try!)
I couldn't believe the number of people who didn't know any Pearl Jam songs when they played a few years ago. It's sometimes easy to assume that things that are well known to you should be known by everyone!

For those of you who don't think Arcade merit a main stage headline slot check this out from their performance in 2007 and weep.....ah the magical and epic memories with the sun setting & all....

i didn't go see them in 07, as i wasn't that into them, but i saw those videos a few weeks back and it made me regret my decision to not watch them so much
that performance is amazing in so many ways

I quite like AF but doubt I'll go and see them. I'm underwhelmed by 90% of non-punk (hardcore to pop-punk) bands live. They are good non-live and probably live for anybody who isn't as odd as me. hope they headline and clash with NOFX

It's not that people don't think they have the talent to headline it's just people expect the most popular, massive selling acts as is the norm these days which they are not.

This can only be a good thing for the festival, take a chance on a headliner and get more kudos for doing so.
I personally think it's a great move by the organisers and I'm sure it'll work.
