Hey All,

Just curious anyone planning on going to Sonisphere alone? I am going to Glasto and Download with different people but no one seems up for this one so considering going on my own rather than missing it!!

Am sure it will still be awesome either way - just curious if anyone else was considering going on there own!

until my mate decides to buy a ticket, im a solo flyer...
my other mate was gonna buy one, then he saw the download announcement, im doing both, but he couldnt afford it

It's looking likely - Download seems to be a pretty big draw for friends this year but I'm ruled out of that one cos of work

I might meet up with some people at the fest but so far it's a solo Sonisphere for me - but then as long as I've got some bands to watch I think I'll cope

I'm going on my own too....slightly shatting my pants at being at a Metal festival on my own being a girl...but line up is too immense to miss.

Yep i'm going alone, never been to a metal festival before but the lineup's looking great so i'm looking forward to it

Yeah I will be nervous if I go on my own but I am sure once am there it will be awesome.... as you say too immense to miss!!!

Find people on here, or go to the official forums, and get chatting/ join one of the camps (there is one - camp loner that is specifically made for those going on their own). This is a good way to ensure you will have people to camp with/drink with at the festival. I know people that went on their own last year and had an awesome time, and I myself have made many friends from the festival too, so it'll be fine

Hey thanks for the info... thats what I generally intended to do (chat on forums and meet people etc) just thought I would make a first post see how many others were on there own.

i will be going alone as no one wants to come, but been to festivals on own when noone wanted to come. you always meet people and have a blast so dont worry bout it.

I'm going by myself, as i did last year too. Its fine tbh, end up making friends everywhere you go and get to do what you want whenever you want! Its a pretty short festival anyway so theres too much to do in not enough time to get lonely!

I am a single female going on my own. That sort of thing doesnt bother me..spent 2 weeks in Canada/US in Feb travelling alone. Much prefer it as dont get in arguements about what bands to go see etc etc..

hay , i went alone last year and going alone again this year , dont worry it's great fun, i joined soni forum and joined the pirates what fun we had , i camp in family as getting old and need sleep lol,

i was bit worried about it but it's all good the only boring part for me is the travel as i have to travel from aberdeen

I was going alone up until yesterday when I had 4 offers of people wanting to adopt me for the weekend. Do you think it was to do with the French Maid outfit I have planned for the Friday Party? Hmmm....

I went on my own last year - single female - and it was brilliant. I decided I was safer on my own at a metal festival than any other. I'd joined Camp Loner through the official forums and met up with them. I'm in Camp Loner again this year. They're a fabby bunch of people. There's some newbies joining us this year.

You can find us on the official forums, and we've also got a Facebook group which we'd encourage new Loners to join, because we use Facebook for the exchanging of phone numbers and stuff nearer the time

I went on own last year and will be this year really cant wait, i joined uped with camp pirates we had a blast hope to catch up with them this year,

join the fourms meetup with people on there its the best ever.
