Yeah, they are a defo. My friend dances and does backing vocals for the band on their current tour.
She mentioned they were playing, although I don't know when or which stage, I've asked via text. It's great because she sometimes goes to Glasto as a punter!

Cracking news!!!! Why do you say Sunday?

I've guessed the Pyramid, because they don't really fit the profile for other stages.
I'm hoping to have this cleared up in some way (hopefully today), either via my original source (sifi) or via other channels I'm following up via.

What slot would they play though? there's no doubt they are huge, sub headliner?
last year they ended up headling the 3rd stage at T and Latitude (25,000 punters at the whole festival)
do you think that their profile has increased or decreased since 2000 when they played under travis?

This makes good sense. The Other Stage under Orbital would also make sense.
Glastonbury, with all this music you are really spoiling us <a la Fererro Rocher>
U2, Hot Chip, Pet Shop Boys, MGMT?, Faithless, Orbital, Chemicals? It's like a Miss World contest with all the winners from the last 10-20 years coming back for a party.

great band to see live, I went to see them a few years ago, not expecting much (it was a free gig) and then you end up realising that you pretty juch know and remember and enjoy every song they play. I had a real change of heart about them at that gig.
This is really good news.

In fact that would be a great Sunday night, Pet Shop Boys, blasting out all those classics, fantastic warm up for Faithless, go mental during Faithless, then decide: hmmm stay for Stevie or go round to the Other stage for Orbital?
Oh yes

What are they like live (if you can come up with a fitting description) there music is pretty varied and often odd, when there live I'm thinking pop/electronic/dancey. This set has me more intrigued then any other, I'm guessing they'll put on a good pretty eccentric show???

Well, my dancing friends have to wear boxes on their heads for part of the show ....

Not into the Pet Shop Boys. Find them annoying. But each to their own.

Would love to hear West End Girls live. One of my favourite pop songs.

Not a fan either.
Neil Tennant- not really a singing voice ,.... more a monotone whine.

I don't know what their set list is like these days, but I'd like very much
It's a Sin
West End Girls
Rent
Heart
What Have I done to deserve this
Left to my own devices
Love Comes Quickly
Suburbia
and that Elvis one.
And yes, I only know their first three albums. But I do know those three albums very well.
