So if you like rock you can't like Lady Gaga?

What a load of pish, people really need to realise that some people like more than one type of music.

I quite like Lady Gaga but there's no way she'd ever get on the R&L line up, it'd be like Daphne and Celeste all over again.

tbh mate. if i'd put JLS, cherly cole, spice girls i'd agree. but the fact that gaga writes all her own songs, can atualy play lots of insturments and can atualy sing...  i appreciate that she writes pop music and is a glorified pop icon, but give her some credit.

besides, i would

All depends on where you stick her, but you will always get a few arseholes thinking "she doesn't belong here" and chucking bottles.

This thread just proves this fact.

What about alicia keys? Less pop and more rnb/soul, would she go down well?
She may not have the "wow" factor of beyonce and gaga but prob more musically talented than both.
I have seen beyonce with jay-z, alicia keys and seeing gaga this year. With beyonce and gaga is all about the show at their concerts whereas alicia keys is all about the music

How do I have a snobbish opinion? Lady gaga is pop, full scale no two ways about it pop. R&L is an 'alternative' festival, where pop has no place

Stopped reading here.

Lady Gaga probably doesn't belong at Reading as such, but there's nothing wrong at all with having a few different kinds of acts placed sparringly across the weekend. It's when the whole lineup is dominated by it, it becomes a problem.

Gaga would look bloody odd on the lineup, but id sure as hell go and see her.

Or is that why you would?

Told you what would happen, let one big mainstream pop act play and it'll just escalates out of hand, and thats just on the forum, imagine at the festival.

Lets just stop this right here, right now! lol.

I'm not afraid to say I really like her music and that she would be a welcome addition to the line up, she's sold loads of records, been in the top 10 for ages, had numerous number one singles, won aload of awards at the Brits. To befair she'd actually be big enough now to headline
