I commented on the general website issues page that i was glad it has been shut, the place was full of complete and utter cack, duplicate after duplicate threads and utter bollocks that bore absolutely no relation to t in the park.
Personally i would wait till the day splits become apparent and re-instate it with a dedicated thread on each stage and general advice thread only which would be a hell of a lot easier to moderate and put an end to crap about stuff you heard at school about Jay Z and total lack of respect for chat board etiquette.

Hate to say "I told you so", but IF that is the thread that got the forum shut down, then it does support my theory that the response to Sean_Thorburn, or whatever his name is, was totally disproportionate.
I wouldn't imagine, though, that it is the reason. I've seen much worse abuse been given out than that.
As a stalker of the forum, rather than frequent contributor, I've never been caught up enough in a thread to miss the offensive side of it. Some were MUCH worse than the Jigh-Zed one.
Anyway, I now have to find something else to stalk........

I Think the original poster stated he was smacked every time he was at T which was total bullshit tbh and therefore was giving a barrage of abuse what else was he expecting... a round of applause,ok some abuse was a bit near the knuckle(you kno who you are, even if a slight username change made the difference) but to close down a whole forum cos you took the nip is totally unprofessional on your part.
Oh and Paul could you get yer tongue out of "Neil"s arsehole.
does that mean there wont be an efests camp at T?
it defo is pants its shut and yeah there will be a meet but a pinthedark meet so join us
,,,wonders who you mean by the slight user name change ???

Holy Moley... followed the thread as it was posted on the Rockness forum, but what the hell went on? From what i have read some racist stuff was posted about the Scots and english, and some stuff about Jigga Man?
Never really noticed if the forums are censored... as with it being a free forum i would have thought it was free to say whatever you wanted... (obviously the administrators can ban people etc...)
Cant work out how a website like this has a duty of care against liable posts? Surely thats in its nature of being a forum....
Glad we are all friendly(ish) over at Rockness forum....

well if all the regulars join up, then i'd say you will have failed. the users make a forum so can't see this one being any different.

Aye... mental eh. Tickets are now valid for a trip into space or for a reduced rate from Sheilas Wheels proud sponsor of efestivals.

He hasn't started a rival forum. Firstly, his forum has been around for a while but I suspect was very quiet as everyone was on here. Secondly, a 'rival' implies two opposing factions but seeing as efestivals no longer has a T in the Park forum, where is the rivalry? He's simply providing a new venue which efestivals no longer provides.

this is rather pathetic.
i thought the whole point of a forum was to provide a place for general discussion, banter, rumours and this and that. Unless someone has been waaaaaayyy over the top in the 12 or so hours i didnt check the forum then to shut the thing down its just laughable!
Everyone should head to pinthedark, and hopefully people can continue on with the banter. Tbh if everyone did move to this new forum i wouldnt care less if the efest t forum never came back

it obviously happened in an hour or so. i posted just before five, seeing a rammy brewing, then i went on at about half six and it was gone.

eFestivals, i have a question.
On the Reading and Glasto forums there was a poster called mike99 who after every post was greeted with a massive torrent of abuse, why werent they shut down?
