Field Day which happens on Saturday 31st July is a summer event bringing together many of London's alternative concert and club promoters (Eat Your Own Ears, Adventures In The Beetroot Field, Bugged Out!) to produce a day of music, dancing and maximum hoopla set in London's heartland at Victoria Park.
Music is the main driver but it also aims to have the charm of a village fete. There's multiple music stages and fete activities with a twist.
Phoenix, Beth Jeans Houghton, and Gold Panda are amongst the first acts to be announced for London's Field Day held in a leafy green corner of Victoria Park.
Other acts to be unveiled include Amiina, Beth Jeans Houghton, Caribou, Chilly Gonzales, Corsano And Flowers, Gold Panda, Esben And The Witch, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, James Holden, Joker & Nomad, Max Tundra, Memory Tapes, Mouse On Mars, Pantha Du Prince, and Silver Apples.
---
The fourth annual outing of Field Day has added The Fall, These New Puritans, Lightspeed Champion, Simian Mobile Disco, Babeshadow, DFA affiliate Riton and Ed Banger stalwart DJ Mehdi's new project Carte Blanche, Chapel Club, Hudson Mohawke, No Age, Tamikrest, and YucK formed from the ruins of Cajun Dance Party.

Looks an interesting line-up.
Did anyone go last year? Was it a good day out?

Been the last two years - unfortunately it's poured down both days
Good event though and a bargain at the price - they had a few sound issues the first year and it still wasn't perfect last year but a lot better - bars were also a lot better last year
Excellent line-up so far - would expect more to be added as well - would definitely recommend

Anybody off to this?
Just booked the ticket down to London for it and can't wait to see Phoenix.
