....what you need is a good ol' barny with elderly locals - what were their names again?

That way, your Festival will ALWAYS be in the top topical 4 or 5!!

.....just remembered, Olgrumpyfy was one.......

Ahhh, Olgrumpyfy, who did everything possible to stop the Stokes Bay Festival happening including posting daily 'smears' on this Board... until he was exposed as Alan Scard, Chairman of Gosport Conservative Association, last seen telling Channel 4 News that he only votes for women in elections "if they are attractive"!!!

Thankfully we don't have any sexist NIMBYs like Alan B'Scard at Wickham, just a village of thoroughly nice people who welcome our Festival with open arms.

Hope we might see you there Marooned? You won't be able to see our 'Big Top' as you cross the Solent this time but you will see all your beautifully crafted signs as you enter Wickham!

naah...what you need is a fun, loud Samba band to fill in between acts and do workshops.

We're on standby !

I used to live just up the road from this festival & I can confirm it's in a lovely spot.

Glad you've moved it back there :P

Get that Marrooned in a fluorescent jacket and have him patrolling the village.. he`ll soon be sniffin out any Southern Conservatives with his Gin and Tonic Monitor and Cardigan Scanner.
Villages cease to exist North of Doncaster. It is my intention to plan a trip abroad to explore some villages. I might begin in Hampshire and travel through Dorest and take in the exotic Devon.. but that might be a little too far perhaps and not sure if my Euros would stretch that far as I`ve heard it is very expensive.
The festival does sound inviting.....

Den - We'd love to see you at Wickham. The locals don't bite (unlike at Stokes Bay).

For you and Mr Marooned we've even added a Forum to our Wickham Festival website:

http://www.wickhamfestival.co.uk/forum

Where your comments and lively banter will always be welcomed (though moderated to stop Olgrumpyfy joining the party).

Can I ask why your festival is one of the "Safest"?

What criteria is that based on?

LOL

Not sure what a "shaven headed nuckle drager" is but this appears to be a great impression of one!!

I must admit I have attended the last 3 Wickham/Stokes Bay festivals and have never hardly noticed the security never mind had a problem. Can't remember any dog either! :P

The fact that we haven't had a single theft, crime or incident of trouble in four years and everyone who reported a lost purse or wallet got it back with all the money and credit cards inside.

How many other festivals can claim that?

As for Zydeco's (amusing but ridiculous) comments, all our security staff are exceedingly friendly and have very nice haircuts.

I should add it's not just lost wallets and money that's handed-in by our honest audience.

A Morris Dancer who lost a bag with some bells in it two years ago was also re-united with his gear after it was handed-in by someone who said he hated morris dancers!

....looks like you've got another couple of spitefull well-wishers after you again Pete.

Just what HAVE you done to deserve such ignorant, ill-informed malice year after year.
Fred Dineage isn't behind it, is he ?
