Wasnt really into Orbital, maybe a bit young...or they didnt do much when i had cash to buy music, but seen them play last year at EH1 and thought they were simply class.

Samw with me, was too young to ever see Orbital or be aware of what they were doing. Saw them at Rockness and they blew me away. One of the best live shows I've ever been to, and I expect that to stay that way for a very, very long time.

Maybe if we try hard enough then Jim King may try to get Orbital back for a second year at Rockness? Seems to be the pattern with acts for Rockness, no complaining though! They seem to be playing even more festivals this year and are headlining Glastonbury so are definetely available (playing Isle of Wight the Friday night of Rockness so Saturday or Sunday?). Insanely long shot but would be tremendous again. I just want to keep seeing them live, when they said last year they were coming out of 'retirement' and playing live again I don't think I've ever looked forward to seeing a band again, even though it was about the 9th time, and certainly wasn't disappointed.

Well, when I bought this it was a lot cheaper (only 12 quid or something), but if you can find it anywhere it's worth it for the DVD alone...

http://www.amazon.co...r...0293&sr=8-2

The DVD is basically choice parts of all their appearances at Glastonbury edited together, with a few graphics and things over the top. The CD is basically the same; live recordings of them at Glastonbury.

Sound quality is a little patchy, especially the early stuff, but it's sooo not an issue when you can take in the atmosphere of their stunning live appearances!

Get hold of a copy if you can, although Amazon are charging a bit much for it at the moment. Next best thing to being there... :P

Jesus Christ!! Is that how much they are going for? I got a copy for my birthday from the GF 2 years ago and didn't expect it to hike so much. It is an amazing live DVD though. Another album which I got and the price hiked (within a couple months aswell) is Daft Punk's 'Alive 2007' Special Edition. Going for stupid money now so hang onto it if you have it.

Not really. Dance element, but not a dance act.

And still no word on new additions, over two weeks now.  Hopefully someone will be in the know soon, as the speculation is driving me nuts.  Although rest assured there is stuff there I am looking forward to seeing.  Dance tents are so much more sociable, free and easy compared to the atmosphere of a city centre night club.
