I reckon they could be playing. NME have been bumming them, got the lifetime achievement award, played V last year, are playing festivals again, including Frequency festival the week before Reading and Leeds

I think they're gunna headline the NME tent one of the nights

Theres no inside information just a guess, same night as MCR headline main stage

No at the NME awards they said they weren't doing any UK festivals. And before anyone says they might not have been booked yet, there is no way FR will not have their nme headliners in place one month before the line up gets announced. Its just plain stupidity to leave a position like that so late.

Ah I didn't know they'd publicly came out and said they weren't doing UK festivals, bit weird as they're doing European ones and don't even have any UK tour dates [that im aware of]

oh well, close the thread

They didn't say they weren't playing any. They said they were unsure what their plans were gigwise for the rest of the year.

"It's probably the only gig we'll do in the UK this year, as far as we know."

I can't see why they wouldn't know if they weren't playing. Extremly likely that they won't be there imo.

LostProphets weren't booked when the first announcement was made last year presumably, so it could still happen.

Are you sure, I know they wernt in the first announcement but I think they were held back because it was gonna be there comeback gig with the new album.

I'm fairly sure they were announced the very next week.

im pretty sure they were announced quite a bit after the announcement, definetly before faith no more. but they were probably booked by this time last year.

i doubt they would hold backa band like Lostprophets from the initial lineup if they were already booked.

they wont. unless they want to headline the tent 2 years running which is very unlikely. they will probably sub headline to mcr.
