Hi...The Arcadian Kicks have been lucky enough to be chosen to play in the Big Top on the Friday night at Wychwood - a festival i've been going to for the last 3 years...i honestly feel the band will really fit in with the vibe down there...a young female fronted classic style rock band with a modern approach - we just had our debut album produced & mixed by Mike Chapman, legendary producer of Blondie's classic albums, Parallel Lines, Eat to the Beat and Auto American...he also produced The Sweet and The Knack...now that's a pedigree! :P

We're chuffed to bits to play there and hope you'll come in to the Big Top and check us out!

Love AK

Here's the full biog and details where you can hear some songs and get a free download

The Arcadian Kicks draw inspiration from right across the musical spectrum; whether it be the deep rooted influence of classic rock - Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles - or an affiliation with other groundbreaking contemporary artists who are simultaneously traversing the frontiers of modern music.

They fuse old and new, past and present, giving rise to a unique style of beautifully crafted pop songs which maintain a rocky and soulful edge. Imagine a concentrated soundscape of relentless rhythm, soaring melody and distinctive harmony colliding into a beautifully balanced and deeply perceptive approach to modern music. Complimented by lyrics that dance effortlessly through the music, The Arcadian Kicks are delicately declaring the voice of a new musical generation.

Retreating into the wilds of Evesham back in October 2009, the band embarked on recording their self-financed debut album which was produced and mixed by the legendary producer, Mike Chapman (producer of Blondie's classic albums, Parallel Lines, Eat to the Beat & Auto American).

The Arcadian Kicks will be on the road throughout Spring 2010 climaxing at the Wychwood and Isle Of Wight Festivals in June. They then hope to release their album in the Summer on their own label followed by more gigs through the rest of the year.

The first track from the band's album, "Black & White", is available as a FREE download via Reverb Nation at http://www.reverbnation.com/thearcadiankicks

They also have another track called "I Can't Sleep" available to download on the Strummerville charity compilation album for Jail Guitar Doors project, "Breaking Rocks".
