Gigwise think Florence will be high up on the other stage!
*Puts garlic out to stop russy moaning about her and other people from another thread about another artist*
Not sure how trusted they are, but they seem to think Florence will be on the other stage high up, makes sense I suppose. (and yes I do think she deserves her own thread)

I very much enjoyed her in the John Peel tent last year, moreso than on the main stage at Bestival really, but they're really popular now so I'm pretty sure she'll be on the other stage.

I reckon there's a good chance she'll play, and considering her current popularity she'd probs appear on the Other stage. Not sure what night she'd play though...

there would have to be something amazing on another stage, for me to miss her

Second top of Other Stage, ala Ting Tings who played JP and the Pilton Party in 2008.

Second or third from top maybe? If the f**king Ting Tings can do it she can...

I've got a feeling she'll be on the Pyramid but it doesn't make that much difference to me as I probably won't see her. She was a bit rubbish supporting Blur last year

Second top under Dizzee I reckon

I wouldn't be surprised if she was headlining the other stage or second from top on the pyramid - and would definitely go see her..Best album from last year in my honest opinion..

I could see it being on the Saturday under Dizzee though, as I reckon they'll want to split the two dance headliners up and have them Friday and Sunday. I'm already dreading the Faithless-S.W clash. Looking like very good line up for Other Stage though.

and this would be the young other stage headliner/2nd.
(This is based on desperate reasoning as I want to see her
..and dizzee actually!

This seems to make sense.
The Other Stage seems to be rapidly becoming the focal point for two-album(at best)-wonder music-press fuelled vacuous hype vehicles. She'd fit in just right, maybe she could play that song, the best one of hers, that's a cover, but isn't anywhere near as good as the original. That'd be great, man. Great.

..okay. I'll get my coat!!
On a serious note now, Florence confirmed to headline Latitude & doing other festivals too, I think a high profile set @ Glasto would seem a dead cert.
I'm really liking their tunes at the mo.

Florence & The Machine For Glastonbury Festival - Exclusive
They'll play The Other Stage...
March 10, 2010 by Scott Colothan
More Florence and the Machine
Gigwise has it on good authority that Florence & The Machine are booked to play Glastonbury Festival this June.
Florence Welch and her band will perform at a prominent time slot on The Other Stage, possibly on the Saturday, we're told.
In keeping with her chart-topping, Brit Award winning success, it will be a big step up for Florence after playing the John Peel Stage in 2009.
