Thanks for all the advice guys, although some of those rather cool looking torches were out of my very small budget  :P

I decided on a hand held wind up for £5 and a wind up head torch for around the same price  :P

One thing I would add.. Some wind up torches have adapters for phone charging.. Might save you being one of the sad peeps in the huge queue for the orange chill and charge..
That was a pittiful sight last year..

Head-torch, it's an essential camping accessory, really nice to not have to hold the torch, light wherever you look.  Just don't walk around with one blinding people.

I got mine from Aldi, they do a camping special week every year, got a cheap nice LED head-torch.
