Thru the arboretum is a beautiful way to enter the arena, with a stage within too that (from your photo) which appears to at least match the Latitude stage yoiu were on about.
Outside of that it's much like most festie sites really - big open spaces.

I have just bought tickets for Latitude (thru Efestivals). Is it a good festival ?
I saw somewhere that it only holds 25000 but I got tickets easily. Is this a reflection on how good it is ? i.e not that popular to sell out quickly.
I am sure I will have a great time, just wondering what the vibe is like there.

I was very taken with The Chateau at Pukkelpop; a big, round, indoor stage. Brilliant atmosphere with a big "dance floor" and circus-style seating around the edge. And completely dark in the middle of the day. Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip and White Lies were both superb there.

However, the press release doesn't say that. Given that the press release is exceedingly likely to have been checked by Melvin personally, Melvin being a big fan of bigging up his exclusives, and that they'd be comeback from the written word but which would be far less likely from the spoken word, I'm siding with the lack of mention in the press release as being the correct version, until such time as there's something to better clarify which it is.
Just because I'm a glutton for disappointment I am going to go with Neil on this one. Why would you ever secure an exclusive, particularly with a "comeback" band of genuine popularity, and NOT want to advertise the fact. Other Stage headliners I reckon, or sort of 2nd/3rd on the Pyramid for B & S.

I would like that even more!!! They'd be great in the tent - I just sense that they are one of those bands with an enduring popularity, however. Put it this way, even now they are definitely as big a draw as Arcade Fire (who I also love before I get hit with everyone's sticks of discontent) and there seem to be a lot of people that think they are headline material on the pyramid. I don't care where they play as long as they don't clash with Stevie!!

So are you a fellow Readingensian? I only went to Womad once in all the time it was in Reading (loved the Whirl-Y-Gig - a few years ago now!!!) although I had a mate who having never bothered while it was in Reading (where he lived also) he finally went last year and said it was brilliant.

Maybe we should get some other "relatively" local people to meet up in the Purple Turtle with the intention of completely "Glastonbury-ing" the Jukebox - I think they have about 25 Stevie tracks on it - sometime in June as a warm-up.

Q.Hey Sarah Please say you'll be playing Glastonbury this year. I will cry if you don't! Tom x
A. i'd better pass you a hankie. sorry! we're expecting to be in a frenzy of getting our LP ready and rehearsing for the shows we've got coming up in July. Apparently Latitude's really good though, you could come to see us there.
Sarah - 11/03/10
For those of us that live north of the border, there's bound to be some warm-up shows somewhere or other.

I can't believe I am having to defend Nick Cave and the Seeds against Snow Patrol. On a glastonbury messageboard. f**k me.
Not sure he needs defending. So obviously superior & all that.
