there's not point trying to. the line up will come when it's ready. and you know theres going to be plenty to keep you occupied. so just look forward to it!

i'd happily go this year not knowing the line up til i get to the gates.

Same here, I'm pretty sure I won't be dissapointed.

Well, it's early March, everyone's just paid their deposit and are dead excited but we don't have much to go on for the line up.

But we're not allowed to speculate as bands announce gigs.

So............what should we talk about then?

That Glastonbury's great eh.

Although I fully agree with the OP about this issue - asking whether anyone thinks a particular band might play is a pointless but inexplicably popular pastime on here - I think there's a more general point to be made:

If everyone decided to start a thread for everything they've decided the world needs to know - perhaps they'd had a particularly satisfying dump that morning - the boards would become a headache-inducing whirl of fast-moving drivel and not worth reading.  I reckon if there was a limit on how many threads each person could start - say one a month - these boards would be transformed.  If you know you've only got one crack of the whip, then you're probably not going to use it to tell everyone that you think you remember a bloke in the pub saying he knew someone who thought Kajagoogoo might be reforming.

Yeah it does take the piss a little sometimes with the very loose speculation as to who is playing.  However part of the fun for everyone is discussing who may or may not be announced.  I guess the drawback of having secured tickets much earlier is more time to fill with all the ramblings.

On a side note I misread the start of the thread and though it was about X going on tour.  Got really excited there, would love it if they played  :P

In other pointless speculation news, Iron Maiden have a 5 day gap in their tour over the Glastonbury weekend

...Yeah right as if that would happen :P
