I just stumbled on the link above - a pretty decent quality recording from their early days.

Even better were their gigs at Glastonbury and Homelands in 2000. You can probably find those gigs recorded somewhere too (I think one of them was broadcast on Radio 1)

Turn it up, and picture a big field with loads of happy punters and a huge sound system on the shores of Loch Ness!

:P

Just listened to the whole thing at work. Its amazing and superb quality. Sending shivers down my spine for when they play. Jump straight to about 49 minutes for when they mix Storm 3000 into Inspection and turn it right up. Its just mindblowing stuff!! Could start a war but Leftfield will blow Daft Punk out of the water for best performance at Rockness.

Totally agree Black. Exposure to this should be compulsory for everyone with ears. The whole mix is feckin immense, 1.06 onwards is total damage. This will without any doubt be the highlight of this years Rock Ness. Daft Punk was unreal but man this is OFF THE RADAR! Honestly cannot wait.  :P  :P

Cheers mate for providing this, ive been frothing at the mouth in anticipation of seeing these boys live.

Ticked Orbital off my list last year and now its roll on Leftfield  :P

This will be the gig of a lifetime, and apart from a few naysayers on here, Leftfield are gonna blow Rockness out the f**kin water. Cannot wait my friends.

Nevermind anyone else, Rockness 2010 will belong to Leftfield  :P

Honestly, it's a belter. Nice one mate - thanks a million for posting it originally. Made me (and many others it seems) a very happy bunny :P

And the news that PaulTM posted about the confirmed singers make it sound like it'll be another unbelievable experience for everyone!!

Yeeeeahhhh!!! :P

no worries mate, i've been collecting live leftfield recordings since they split up...i'm ridiculously psyched for seeing them live!

the soundboard guys also gave me a soundboard recording of them live at brighton centre in 2000 - it's the same setlist as the homelands gig (and the rest of the 2000 tour) but no crowd noise, which takes away part of the atmosphere.  but it's still pretty damn cool.

i've got recordings of a lot of the 2000 tour though - glasto, homelands, nye london arena, cardiff, brighton, tilburg...i'll upload them later if anyone's interested.  my dropbox is currently full of about 30 live orb recordings, so gotta wait for some people to download that stuff first...

Sounds like you've got a cracking collection - best I've managed is a bittorrent file of Homelands 2000 and Glastonbury 2000! Would love to hear some other live stuff. And I'm totally into Orb-business too, got a load of their tracks floating about in my collection.

I could send you a wee list of tracks I have, we could sort out a swop at some point. No probs if not though mate. :P

Thank you for clarifying the date & venue, I've changed title of the track on sound cloud. Have you still got the CD's? Would you do a trade? Let me know as it would be great  to stream my favourite PA in the best sound quality, Cheers!
