Obviously not reading too much into that fake poster bollocks, but they're on it and alot of people are naming them on their wish lists. Is there actually any chance at all of them making an appearance? Is it purely wishful thinking or is there genuine reason to believe they'll play this year?

Took a while to sell out, but once it did tickets were going for high prices, their fanbase has obviously diminished but what's left is seemingly loyal.Well, they didnt really stop over here after their rise and fall, rage and grace tour except for download so they are due some more shows

If it was going to happen though it would have been last year, they pulled a weezer and played in manc on the wednesday before the fests happen (as in, i saw offspring, got picked up after the gig, four hours later at leeds festival). This is one of those times i'd love to be wrong but can't see it unfortunately, it was just an hour and a half of hits though, well worth the wait!

They get mentioned every year along side Weezer, they're both bound to play eventually, this could be the year especially with Blink headlining.

I seem to recall they were on the rumours list last year. They have a new album coming out so could well play this year

I'd like to see them at 3rd main or in the tent

Let's hope that they wrap up the new album promptly to give them enough time to come over here. Hopefully melvin has already booked em.
I hope there second from top main or NME headliners so that they get a longer set to play. I'd love to hear them belt out their hits and a few new ones if they do play.

One of the organisers name dropped The Offspring in one of last year's forums - unfortunately, although The Offspring played 2 UK shows before the festival (most people thought they were a dead cert for Leeds/Reading) it didn't materialise
Last time they played Reading/Leeds they were second headliners I seem to remember? So with Paramore supposedly second fiddle to Blink 182, I can't see them playing unless they are in a tent or lower than Paramore?!

What about second to MCR?
Best way to sell weekend tickets is to have top bands of the same genre spread out, ie. If people want to see Blink and Offspring, they don't get the option of just buying a day ticket.
Edit: Ignore that, I forgot about Lostprophets. Tent headliners to clash with Arcade Fire would suit me, but doubt it'll happen, maybe next year.

Do u think lost prophets are a cert like lith?
I reckon that since paramore are playing under blink offspring could easily sit under mcr and beef up that day a bit.
Tent headliners would do though. In fact anywhere on the bill.

Offspring would be awesome in that tent. I somehow can't see it happening though.

I don't think Offspring really demand a 2nd from top spot anymore, their last album bombed and I don't think they sell out big UK venues the odd occation they do come here...
Stick em third on the Sunday (Or whatever day has the 2 hour set) so they still get a longer set.

I agree that The Offspring wouldn't get second place anymore. If the bands around them were simular they would probably get third.

The Offspring headlining the NME tent is the best suggestion i have ever heard.
