Not sure if there is anything in this but the linked article strongly suggests that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers may be playing.

If this turns out to be true, I dont think anything else in my life would top this.
Ever since I got into them in 2001, Ive always thought they would be truely awesome.
Im just getting goosebumps thinking about learning to fly on the pyramid.
This needs to happen...plllleeeasssse!

They are on an American tour at the point so I would think its unlikely that they will play. I suppose they could do a U2 but I doubt it. Hope I'm wrong though.
Playing Millwaukee on the 25th and 26th of june.

I just found a page with his 2010 tourdates and theres a week gap:
Jun 23 Omaha Qwest Center (w/Drive-By Truckers) Milwaukee Summerfest (w/ZZ Top)****
Jul 10 Indianapolis Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre (w/Drive-By Truckers)
Happens to be the weekend of glastonbury....is this a sign, could they do it?

Their tour dates:
Wed June 23rd - Omaha
Fri June 25th - Millwaukee
Sat June 25th - Millwaukee
Then a break to July 10th - Indianapolis
Not impossible to play on the 27th which is the Sunday, but that's a fair trek.

Mind you - have you seen who he's playing with on that tour?!
Joe Cocker, ZZ Top, Crosby Stills & Nash!!
Get them all to come with him. They could share the same plane - carbon footprint and all that!!

Hmm - looks highly unlikely given those dates. Sorry for getting hopes up.

I was going to post the same thing about them and U2 all sharing a private plane, but if they were all to share a plane and it was to do a Buddy Holly..... Oh the humanity, oh the jokes.....

Now thats what i would call a 40 year celebration line up for the last day...
....On a downer though i can't see Tom Petty coming over for the Sunday slot...to far and to expensive to make it worthwhile for him.

Nowt to apologise for mate - it was a good spot.
Because of that, I looked at TP's tour schedule and saw he was playing with ZZ Top. So I checked THEIR schedule, and saw they're free between their American shows in late May through to a gig in London in late July.
Who's up for some serious air guitar down at the front of the Pyramid? I'll turn up in my suit. Like a Sharp Dressed Man.
It'd be an AWESOME Glasto moment.
