Sub-Headliners

I'm beginning to get the feeling that MCR, Arcade Fire and Blink 182 will all be sub-headliners as all three are clearly not major headlining material. Why would efestivals choose to reveal headliners ahead of schedule? It just defeats the purpose of having the whole lineup revealed a month later. I'm just going to keep my hopes up that there will be a few surprises in store including top quality headliners!
Anyone agree?

efestivals has no connection with FR whatsoever so when they get the headliners early they will of course try to get the information out. This will no doubt increase their traffic on the page, which probably means they can charge more for ads and the website is in a much better financial position to continue.
And ffs can everyone stop with the denial Arcade Fire ad Blink 182 are definitly headlining and it's pretty certain that MCR are!!!!!!!

Or they could quite easily lie in an effort to increase their traffic...

When was this 1% of the time i was right then?
If you're going to insult someone you kind of need to make sure what you say makes sense.

If they were to lie, than when future rumours were to come from efestivals than people aren't going to visit and their reputation will suffer from not only any new visitors but from members already. They will only gain traffic in the short term. I.e when I hear about a rumour from virtual festivals, I won't go to the site because I have little confidence in it and I'm sure others don't.
When these bands turn out to be true I'm sure that you and others will stick about and continue to visit the site for other rumours involving this years line up and probably following years. They've got it right in the past and I'm sure they'll continue to do so. I.e their visiting numbers increase in the long term.

That's a fair enough interpretation of the situation I suppose. Maybe i'm just being a bit too optimistic about having bigger headliners. Then again, I still believe at least one of the three won't headline. One can only dream!

i'm putting my money on paramore, lostprophets and pendulum as subheadliners. Let's just hope pendulum pull a good album out their arse, in silico was pure cheddar in parts.

by "cheddar" do you mean "shit"? and by "in parts" did you mean to put a full stop?

I quite liked in silico, each to there own though. Although it was no hold your colour. Aparently they are leaving the rock influence behind this time and going back to their roots.
I'd imagine they'll pull a massive crowd though. Biggest sub-headliner of the weekend if they play their.
I think they will be third down personally. I reckon them crooked vultures might get the third sub-headliner slot, I've also got a suspicion Gorillaz could come into that slot, but who knows.
I'm thinking third down will be a combination of Pendulum, Biffy maybe MGMT (although I went for limp bizkit in my prediction.

I'm really hoping Gorlliaz will sub to Arcade Fire. Weird thing is about Gorillaz, I could easily see them headlining, subbing or headlining the tent.

Yeah, one of those bands that could literally play anywhere on the bill (well you know what I mean) and not many would be shocked at their placing.

I think it's because (now correct me if I'm wrong) they haven't done any/many festivals before Coachella, so they're new to the festival circuit.
