With Them Crooked Vultures only appearing at Download Festival, maybe they could play R/L and be announced after Download, to headline the NME tent very simular to the FNM situation last year. I'm thinking if they did, they may knock The Maccabees and Julian Casablancas down with them taking the headline slot?

I expect them to be there tbh
I've been saying for a while that I reckon they'll show up everywhere - well at least DL, R/L and probably Glastonbury

They're sub-headlining at Download though, I thought in genereal they don't tend to play R/L?

could definately see it happening, they want to get another album out and seem to be appearing on every festival lineup going this year. Their set at leeds was great until the illness took over me during the last song. (never felt that bad at a festy, sure some f**ker gave me swine flu!), would like to take this moment to thank the poor buggers i collapsed on top of, you definately cushioned my fall!

I would be surprised if they weren't at Reading this year.
