i love manchester orchestra but was pretty disappointed with their set last year at leeds.  the set was waaaay to short and they had a lot of technical difficulties.
luckily i managed to catch them play at heaven a few months back at their own gig and it was brilliant!  the venue name was extremely apt for the occasion!

This was such an amazing gig! Leeds however was a bit shit 'cause Hull's tuner was broken haha, and it was all METN.

We Are Scientists have a new song, the video for which is hilarious. Can see them playing, really talented and really funny guys.

my list of semi-realistic bands that COULD play......

weezer
1990's
interpol
the thrills
the hives
wolfmother

I'd be more than happy of any of these acts played, especially 1990s or even Yummy Fur.

None whatsoever. Travis aren't a big band anymore anyway, they struggle to fill 1000 capacity venues now.

Would love The Thrills and The Hives to play whoever put them down, Thrills to headline FR stage would especially be great.

I love The Thrills and The Hives, both are high on my list of bands to see. That said I'm pretty sure The Thrills have split up  :P

They  defineitely haven't split up. They released an album recently, it wasn't commercially a success but if was a good album all the same.

Recently? They released Teenager about 3 years ago and they were then dropped by the label. None of their websites have been updated in a year and wiki lists them as being on hiatus. I hope they are still going but it doesn't look positive.
