the reading website was down for me last night, but is working today. still the 2009 site though.

They have been having problems with the site and forums for the past month. Maybe testing out the new features or just technical problems. The forums are logging members into different accounts and all sorts of other issues

you don't need to take a website down to put a new one up - work on the new one til ready then upload it over the old one.

I do website design for retailers as part of my job, I know what goes into creating and updating sites. Updating sites can be complicated but not always and technical issues arise, espeacially when the site is an active one
