Do you really think paramore would be 2nd or 3rd from the top... Didn't they only open the main stage two years back and that was after their second album was out..?

I honestly believe all 3 acts Neil 'announced' last night WILL play the festivals. If Green Day are to play i have no choice but to ask Daily Star, do you honestly think FR would book TWO pop-punk bands to headline as well. I have a feeling we could get
My Chemical Romance
?????????????????????
Arcade Fire
??????????
Green Day
Blink 182

if GD are playing, i'm certain it would be MCR not headlining, and not Blink.

Salary cap?
Exclusivity Agreements?
Contracts to play other festivals linked to the group in future years (a la Metallica and sonisphere)?
No say upon the rest of the line-up?

maybe, i dunno, i'm not as convinced MCR are going to be as huge this year as many seem to think. Blink after disappearing for a long time are a huge booking, and i guess on that basis worthy headliners.
still i dont think GD are going to be playing either, so it's a moot point really.

It would make me a lot happier if the Daily Star are right.
IMO, MCR are so not worthy of a top slot.

At the end of the day,
mcr- awful
blink- awful
arctic fire- awful
green day- quality
lets be serious, either way there isnt much hope of good headliners, and the other fesitvals have far far far better headliners i mean:
V = Kasabian & Kings of leon
T In The Park = Eminem, Muse and Kasabian
Glastonbury = U2, Muse and Stevie Wonder
i would pick any of them headliners over the 3 at l&r.

blink- awfulWould love to see them as have not before
arctic fire- awfulNot my cup of tea
green day- qualityAlways around tourning can catch them almost on a yearly basis, and are available this summer
lets be serious, either way there isnt much hope of good headliners, and the other fesitvals have far far far better headliners i mean:
V = KasabianNo better in size than what we have & Kings of leonPlayed last year,
T In The Park = EminemNo thanks, MuseWould like but im seeing them the week after and KasabianAs above
Glastonbury = U2One of the most unliked bands, unless your a U2 fan. Never a R&L headliner, MuseAs Above and Stevie WonderWould love it but would never happen
i would pick any of them headliners over the 3 at l&r.Out of the above I would probably choose R&L or glasto's minus U2 but glasto is a much bigger thing for bands
p.s its arcade fire

Seriously, not having Kasabian may be the best thing ever to happen to Reading/Leeds!
