Theres an article in the daily star, not that I believe the star over efestivals that thinks the acts are greenday blink and arcade fire. Obviously took the other two from efests though.

Although Neil could be wrong, and he's the first to say so, the fact that he has removed GD completely from the rumours should be noted.

Yes that has been noted by the masses, but this year there seems to be an air of secrecy surrounding this years festival. Where as in other years the headliners are pretty much dead cert come mid February.

So this article cannot be just cast off either i feel.

I trust Neil completely but as Benj has said, the Star have been bang on the money for the past couple of years now with the rumours for festival headliners.

yes there is, every single year.

If it's not efestivals that does it it's someone else. Like the NME for example, who do it every single year,.

Not wanting to give too much away (and e-fest may not work this way) but isn't it strange that the Reading headliners leak the day that V's lineup is published - maybe to ensure that we don't all spend our cash on V tickets perhaps?

Given the general reaction to the leak I don't think there's much chance of that!
The Green Day rumour seems much more likely than the Efests rumour, R&L needs a marketable name with crossover appeal, something lacking form the previous 3 names.

TBH I see V as a more pop orientated festival anyway. It wouldnt really bother me what they announced I would still never choose to go to V.

Reading & Leeds have a lot of variety over the festival and sometimes touches on the pop side of music but never goes out and gets a cheryl cole type or a saturdays type act. That alone is enough to put me off going to V.

Personally I'm happy that Leeds didn't go for Kasabian, I don't think there a headlining band yet, not that I'm overly convinced with MCR, Blink and Arcade fire being headline type bands. KOL played R&L last year.

If I had to choose on these headliners alone it would be R&L. If I had to choose on the types of music all through V and what will no doubt be a similar undercard to every year at R&L, I'd choose R&L.

Going off the people I would expect to go to the festivals, although there are a minority of knobheads @ Leeds, dunno about reading, I would choose R&L. Mainly for the fact that there will be people there bang into cheryl cole and the like along with more casual music fans.

You did say MCR you were least sure about.  Is Green Day a definite no or just a 'not likely'?

He said that he hadn't heard anything specifically about Green Day; just the three that he announced yesterday.

E fesivals did say MCR may not be headlining and used the phrase 'top slots' for Blink and Arcade Fire. I tihnk Blink will headline but never know with the other 2.

I'm thinking;

BLINK 182
Paramore

ARCADE FIRE
???

GREEN DAY
My Chemical Romance

what we thinking? and if Arcade Fire do headline who's subbing?
