When they play reading I doubt you'll hear there voices too much over the crowd.

I'm pretty happy with the rumours so far, I've a feeling this is gonna be a cracking year.
I really disliked last years line up so far it's better already this year without an act being announced.

I really find it odd that people are comparing MCR headlining with The Darkness. Sure, they were both unpopular choices on these forums at the time, but The Darkness did it off the back of a fantastic performance by all accounts the previous year, a number 1 album and three Brit Awards. I didnt go to the festival until 2004, but from many people I know who did go in '03, The Darkness were one of the bands they were raving about.
last time MCR played they got a lukewarm reception at best. Sure, it wasn't the huge bottling that people have made it out to be, but it certainly wasn't the sort of performance that would make you think "wow, these guys are gonna headline next time they're back here"

I'm surprised people aren't complaining about the lack of a heavy headliner. Radiohead have made more heavy songs than the three acts this year, I mean Slayer fans apparently Booed MCR and they are the headliner that would most apeal to that crowd. Arctic Monkeys have more guitar solos than Blink 182 and their last album was done by Josh Homme.

maybe people have given up on having that sort of headliner what with the competition about nowadays?
