Coach I imagine.

But I was so tired on the coach home last year I know it'd be too dangerous to drive.

The 8:23 from Filton Abbeywood gets into Castle Cary at 9:57. No changes involved and the line runs alongside the Kennett & Avon Canal with quaint request stops at Freshford and Avoncliff. The best way to chill!

We'll be driving too, long way to come from the sticks NE Scotland and the flights, trains are expensive and no buses from sticksville!!  We may be taking an extra person this year, but failing that we will definately be taking his tent etc so it will be a very full wee car!!

coach from leeds.

If i had a car (i can drive but dont own one) i would definitely consider driving.

This poll proves that Glasto is not doing anywhere near enough to encourage people to leave their vehicles at home. But then that was already very obvious.

The coach prices are a complete joke. Any more than a group of two and you'd be mad NOT to drive!!

If you're over 25 and have a group of three or more and are coming from at least the midlands or further i would say it could easily be cheaper / the same / very little more to rent a car for the duration of the fest than pay your 3 x coach tickets. what a joke.
There isn't much they could do tbh, the convience/comfort of a car won't be beaten and unless they make it ridiculously cheap etc the vast majority of car owners won't change

Thats what worries me! Maybe should have booked a hotel for leaving as well as for arriving!

Just out of curiosity who's taking what to get to Glastonbury?

I'll be going by car with my mate.
Is anybody car sharing? or keeping it eco with a push bike :P its a bit far for me to ride from Nottingham!!
Certainly is! You'd have to set off now to get there in time  :P

I'm coaching it. My budget won't allow for driving lessons AND a Glasto ticket :P

This is all looking way better than I would have expected :P Please let it be true rather than perhaps being more a case of a significant number of car peeps being unwilling to vote for one reason or another.

There will still be massive, packed carparks.

Car! Got the coach once and it was a knightmare so never doing that again, plus there will be 3 or 4 of us so ends up being loads cheaper.

Carshare - there'll be four of us in one car - it'll be a squash but (much) cheaper and easier than any of the public transport options.

Train for me.

5 minute walk from house. Sit on train. Change at Reading. Train from Reading to Castle Carey has a festival atmosphere. Lovely.

I'd accept a lift if my local mates were going, but this year they're not. I certainly wouldn't drive on my own - I hate driving without company.
