I drove last year and never again! From the horrendous experience I had getting out of London to the massive queues to trying to drive across what was basically a lake of mud to get out (in a Yaris... it was no joke). Bus all the way for me from now on!

Where's the harbour? Unless they snuck it next to the monorails main entrance, outside of the fence, without me knowing ...  :P  :P

5 of us coming in 2 cars from Stockton. Three in one and the 2 smokers in my little Mini so we can pollute our air to our hearts delight.

We did look at the bus but it was nearly £80 per person. Would rather drive thank you very much

No need to take a car whatsoever. Me and my mate used local bus services last year, planned the route carefully then got a taxi driver from Glastonbury town to take the back roads and drop us off only a short walk from the entrance. Beat our friends in cars and coaches by a good 4-6 hours respectively and made a few new friends on the way. It's also quite easy to hitch-hike, especially once the festival's over, although it's noticeably more difficult than it used to be, but then the festival is starting to attract a different sort of crowd than back in the olden days (sad but true, I seem to remember people taking their tents home once upon a time). Took about an hour to thumb a lift last year, those in the car had been trying to get out for about 3 hours.

Last year as I got a ticket quite late on and coming from Glasgow I flew down to bristol as it was less expensive than train or coach then got the bus to the festival... this eyar with ticket already paid off and knowing more people travelling down it will probably be train the whole way.
