Cheers, will probably risk putting it off a month. If I can still get a ticket though, then definitely there.
Not seen Reef in years; Pavillions gig around 96-97 I think. Feeder and "A" supporting.

it was pretty easy to get tickets as i recall, but we only got tickets for the friday (absolutely blinding days line uo for me. The Zutons, Audio Bullys, Morcheeba, Natty, Sam Issac finished off with GA) revelling with surfers and hippies in the sunshine
top, top gig!!

Could still get tickets on the day this year if I remember right.
Great little festival and they seem to do well with the acts booked. The weather this year was really great as well which made it even better.

They sold out of the full package last year (entry to all bar sessions, boardmasters after party on the sunday and a weekend music ticket)
but you really didnt need that.
I'm not much for 'Leftfield' but me and my mates are down in Newquay on this week for the surfing comps anyway, might give the music a miss unless someone decent gets added to the second day.

when you buy the all in one ticket it says camping is not included, any idea how much just cmaping will cost with the all in one charger ticket?
sounds like a great time to be had!

OK, this is a thinly vieled "can I take my own beer" post.

We camped in the smugglers campsite which is literally a five minute walk to the festival site, its not just camping here they have caravan/chalet thingys if you want a bed and somewhere to do some cooking.

We're staying in Newquay- we were told they do a shuttle bus to Watergate, anyone know if it runs til late and if it is payable?
Also, what sort of time do the acts start and finish, the website says 11 am - 12.45 but wasn't sure if the bands would finish earlier and the site just stays open

The doors open extremely early, and people tend to sit around watching the bands til around 5pm, as most of them are fairly acoustic. I imagine on this year's friday , Tinie Tempah will be the act to get everyone on their feet. The main stagelast year ended at about 11, as the headliners come on stage around 9:30. However, on the other two main stages, bands come on stage at around 1045 -11 pm, and don't finish til about midnight.
The shuttle bus to and from town and the site is very regular, and best of all, FREE

There were bag searches from what I remember yes, but I didn't have one, so I can't say how stringent they were unfortunately
