Not a lot to fault there, and especially this - gil scott heron (1985), was that really 25 years ago?, ooph. Oh, and The Smiths 1984.

What about 1978? wikipedia lists 1978s lineup as unknown, and UK Rock Festivals archive only names two bands, Pedro and Nik Turner's Sphynx.
I can't find anything about Pedro, so it would have to be Nik Turner's Sphynx, which is very surreal stuff.

Would've had fela kuti for that year if still alive.

I don't actually know a lot of the smiths, outside the obvious ones :P ; saw Morrissey in 2004, but not a huge fan to be honest.

Decided Fisherman's blues would be good to wake up to, plus tried to keep it slightly realistic*; Smiths would play further up the lineup, and not sure where they'd fit.

*White Stripes/the cure would probably have to play higher aswell, but wouldn't want to seperate the more dance based acts.
