So . . . they've announced the headliner for the Friday (Pink) and for the Sunday (JayZ) . . . does that mean that Wireless isn't happening on the Saturday this year . . . or just that they're yet to annouce who's playing? I hope it's the latter! Last year, it was more dance-based on the Saturday . . . so hopefully that's the way they're going this year again!

I'm pretty sure that the Saturday is to be headlined by Eminem - that rumour has been floating around for a while, and with him due to be announced as a headliner for T in the Park tomorrow, it seems pretty sure that the Wireless rumours will come true.

Anyone agree Slash is the most misaplaced artist on any festival bill since Daphne and Celeste at Reading?

Didn't JayZ headline it in 2008?

Yep, that was an awsome show too.

I'm sure it was- not much imagination from the organisers though...

True but they are hardly a major festival and they have enough trouble getting deccent bands to headline.

Hardly a major festival with trouble getting decent bands?! At Wireless I've seen Massive Attack, The White Stripes, Faithless, Jay-Z and Morrissey headlining. They've also had The Strokes, The Who, Daft Punk and Kanye West headlining among others. In 2007, they were the only UK festival to get two of the biggest bands in the world, Daft Punk and The White Stripes to play.
It just shows how much of a reduction in quality of line-up there has been.

Those going to Wireless this weekend enjoy. I'm not! But Im currently plotted near Hyde Park and it is very muggy. So it gonna be nice & warm for tonight if the rain holds off!!
My niece was super keen to see Jay-Z but tickets very hard to get hold of. Or at least at a sensible price anyway. Can't believe tickets for him are like gold dust but been reminded what a huge entourage he has it is no wonder!
I was there in 2008 & saw Jay-Z headline. Whilst he is a great performer & one of the best at that genre, after 45 mins I couldn't take any more mother f**king this & mother f**king that!
Enjoy tho peeps!
