I would love to see both these bands at the festival this year, both have great back catalogues, perfect for an late evening festival set!

James playing Isle of White so very possible...Would be fitting for the anniversary as they have played a few times in the past...Would be very welcome..In fact I'm surprised James are not a 'rumour'?

How can you be sure? Have you heard for defo or is it just an educated guess?

James were my most seen band at one point, probably about 1989 before they started with all that come home, sit down, stand up stuff. Bloody good they were too in their day *gets nostalgic* No idea what they'd be like twenty years on though. The Charlies always seem to put on a very hits filled show so that would probably go down well. And those that don't like it can always just laugh at Burgess' haircut.

Tim Booth looks like Ming the Merciless but they still sound good
Burgess has the worst mop of beatles-esque hair i've ever seen - but I think the Charlatans are an under-rated band. His vocals have got better through time (a little!)

Saw the Charlatans last Summer at the Stockton Riverside Fringe Festival. Was quite impressed, they were better than I expected.
