Just bought the tickets for this one, well looking forward to it. I never been to German festival before so I don't know exactly what to expect. Will they show the World Cup matches at the festival ?

Do you usually do an efests meet at hurricane ?

You'll regret not getting there on Thursday thoroughly if you go throiugh with the plan like that (even though Hamburg is worth every minute you stay there).
And feel free to camp with us, a lot of Germans and a few internationals from Amsterdam, of course.

Hi Guys I know similar questions have been asked but my friends and I are looking to go to Hurricane, we've all been to loads of UK festivals but none of us are fluent speaking Deutsch!
Are we going to get on alright here? We know enough to make it from the airport to the train station and stuff but couldn't hold a conversation!

Where does this idea come from that the rest of the world is as bad with foreign langauges as you? Out of the big European countries Germans know the most foreign languages, esp. English.. Sweden, NL, ... beat us, of course. Nevertheless, you'll be just fine. Beer helps for comunication, as well.

Camping there is also quite compact, if it's just one tent don't worry about it.

The situation is like at Southside. Plus I'll try to reserve a nice spot closeby for you.

Try mitfahrgelegenheiten.de

or check air berlin and Austrian for flights to closeby airports (Bremen, Hanover, Hamburg) and then by train.

it was my first Hurricane experience, overall it was a blast. Was impressed with festival overall organisation even to get out on Monday morning it was very smooth and we just waited 30 minutes at the station for the train.

Music wise it was good and there was good variety of different generes.I really enjoyed the intimate feeling in Red Tent. But personally Massive Attack were the highlight for me playing very late on Saturday night, it was immense. Also Faithless and the Stokes back to back were a perfect finish for thefestival both delivering great hits sets.

Perphas the language was a bit of a barrier, but most of ppl we spoke understood english. If there's an interesting line up, most probably will return next year!
