On the V Festival Twitter it says that ticket prices haven't been decided yet.. I'd guess they will be about £10 more than last year at the most..

Maybe they will decide to not push the price up at all with the credit crunch and all? Actually there's no chance of that lol..!

Does anyone know how you go about getting VIP tickets to V Festival, is it possible to just buy them the way you buy normal tickets or do you have to be one of the "choosen people" to stand a chance?

VIP tickets aren't on sale to the general public, they tend to be offered as competition prizes.

I've been going VIP for the last 3 years - I get mine through a friend who works for Carling.

No, they are not on general sale - but you do tend to find a lot of people selling them on EBay etc... However, you won't see them on there until closer to the date as they are not released until closer to the Festival than general sale tickets.

VIP does not get you near the bands though! It's just a nice area with picnic benches, a good bar and disco, decent toilets and is away from the masses. The only people I've seen in there is Jack Tweed and Gary Lucy - which I think tells you everything!!!!

Saw VIP tickets on Ebay last year going for silly money, over £100. Buyers beware that they don't actually include festival entry. We got some off Virgin Mobile last year and sold them for £65 for 2. All you get is a picnic area and a bar where you can use real cash instead of drink tokens. We clearly stated on ebay what they were but some ads weren't so clear.

They do include Festival entry.

However, if you want to get a wrist band for use of the VIP area all weekend you have to pay an addtional £20.00 per person "charitable donation".
